Becoming someone you haven't met yet

Finding your own way through the work

When this newsletter comes out, I will be in the home stretch of becoming a Certified DreamBuilder through the Brave Thinking Institute. That journey has been meaningful in many ways, but if you look back over the things I've written in previous newsletters, you might notice that they don't always sound very “DreamBuilder.”

The truth is, parts of the curriculum were a struggle for me. There were pieces of it that I simply couldn't connect with (or resonate with) in the way it was presented. For a while, I wondered if I was doing it wrong.

Eventually, I realized something important: I didn't have to force myself into someone else's model.

Instead, I took elements of the program that resonated with me and reshaped them around who I actually am.

What emerged from that process was something slower and gentler. It doesn’t rely on hype or dramatic reinvention. It also doesn’t ask anyone to become a completely different person.

What it asks for instead is reflection.

Reflection about where you are.

Reflection about what truly matters to you.

Reflection about the life you want to move toward, one thoughtful step at a time.

For me, that shift made all the difference. And it’s the foundation of the work I’m continuing to build.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the past few years, it’s that most of us are trying to navigate life without a clear map. We’re making choices, adjusting course, and learning as we go. Sometimes the path feels certain, and sometimes it feels like we’re simply finding our footing one step at a time.

That realization is part of what inspired me to create a new 6-week program called Navigating Life Without A Map .

It’s not about a dramatic transformation or becoming someone new. Instead, it’s a space for reflection, conversation, and gentle exploration of the paths we’re each trying to find.

If the ideas in this newsletter resonate with you, I’d love to invite you to join me.
